This blog is written by Leela Spackman. In 2019, my father passed away from old age. He was 88 and he left behind my mother who was 77 at the time. We had always talked about my mom living with my family if she was widowed. She moved in with us shortly after his passing. Then she discovered that she wasn't totally comfortable living with us. The footings for the extension were poured today. A rather large pumping truck came to suck the cement up and spew it on the other side of our dirt hill. I was surprised to see the color of cement is a dark red. They must be grinding up Arches and Canyonlands to make cement these days.
