Back Fill and Concrete Cutting

 Today was a big day for our project. The concrete basement walls have cured and we were able to push the dirt back in around them. The basement window wells are in. Our garage floor was demolished and hauled away. The existing walls from our basement were also removed and hauled away. A temporary wall has been built. It is nice to have the dirt pile smaller.

Footings Have Been Poured

The footings for the extension were poured today. A rather large pumping truck came to suck the cement up and spew it on the other side of our dirt hill. I was surprised to see the color of cement is a dark red. They must be grinding up Arches and Canyonlands to make cement these days.
